“Cuando el perro conoce al pato: el conmovedor viaje de los animales rescatados en busca de una amistad para toda la vida”

All of our beloved dogs are rescue animals, including Pikelet, who was rescued from euthanasia at the tender age of five weeks old. As soon as he joined our family, he demonstrated a remarkable ability to bond with foster puppies and teach them the ways of being a dog. Later, another rescue named Patty Cakes became a part of our family, bringing his adorable bull-breed mix puppy body and wise old soul with him.

Recently, we were offered the chance to foster two baby ducklings through Wollongong Animal Rescue Network. We affectionately named them Penguin Popinjay and they’re about four weeks old now. Since ducklings need to be adopted in pairs, we’re seeking Patty’s approval in finding the perfect forever home for these little ones. Patty and Pikelet take great care and pride in their daily duties as duck parents, sharing meals and playᴛι̇ɱe and even taking trips to the local park and dog beach for some fun in the sun.

We were overjoyed to add another furry friend to our household, a delightful pup named Patty Cakes. Despite his youthful vigor and charming bull-breed pedigree, there was something about him that betrayed an age-old wisdom beyond his years.

In the month of March, we had another chance to become foster parents for the Wollongong Animal Rescue Network.

This ᴛι̇ɱe around, we had a new task on our hands – taking care of two little ducklings who had been left without their parents. No more fostering puppies this ᴛι̇ɱe!

Our little Penguin Popinjay babies, or so we affectionately call them, have reached the age of four weeks.

It seems that ɱaпy people are interested in adopting them, and it appears that they will soon be moving on to a new perɱaпent residence in just a little over a week.

Patty made a spontaneous decision to take care of these little ones as he felt they required his attention.

He took them under his care and became like a motherly figure to them, earning the title of Mr. Mum.

Initially, Pikelet was not too pleased with the idea of new acquaintances joining the group. However, this feeling did not last long as Pikelet quickly warmed up to the little ducklings and became friends with them.

Patty and Pikey are dedicated to their daily responsibilities of taking care of ducks, and they approach their tasks with great attention and pride.

They share meals, rest and engage in activities as a group.

We also like to check out the quaint dog beach located at the harbour, perfect for cooling off during scorching weather. It’s a great spot for everyone, including our furry friends, to take a refreshing dip in the water.

Ever since gaining some popularity, this group of four individuals has been highlighted in various newspapers across the globe.

We’re ecstatic about our lovely and content family and eagerly anticipating all the possibilities that the future holds for us.
