1. Trachyandra
It is really difficult to find a Vietnamese name for this plant species because they are very rare in Vietnam. It belongs to the family Asphodelaceae, along with aloe vera. ɱaпy people describe that they resemble frozen smokestacks when looking at Trachyandra.
2. Crassula umbella
This is a flowering plant species belonging to the Crassulaceae family. Due to its spreading and curvy leaves, it is often known as the “wine cup” plant.
3. Euphorbι̇a obesa
At first glance, ɱaпy people will think that this unique plant is a type of cactus. However, it belongs to the Euphorbι̇aceae family with plants that are commonly known as cassava, castor oil, rubber, or poinsettia. Euphorbι̇a obesa has a ball-like shape with a diameter of 6-15cm. It has good water retention ability, so it is not difficult to care for.
4. Euphorbι̇a caput-medusae
Another unique plant belonging to the Euphorbι̇aceae family is Euphorbι̇a caput-medusae. When looking at this plant, you will easily associate it with the “snake hair” of the goddess Medusa in Greek mythology.
5. Staghorn fern
This plant species with a beautiful name is a genus of about 18 fern species belonging to the Polypodiaceae family. This type of plant is usually known for its unique leaf shape, resembling the antlers of animals.
6. Giao plant
The Giao plant is probably not unfamiliar to Vietnamese people because it is quite famous for its effect in treating sinusitis. However, the type with a red head, usually called “burning candle,” is also not a bad choice when you want to refresh your garden.
7. Mimosa pudica
Mimosa pudica, also known as the “shy plant,” is a type of sensitive plant belonging to the Fabaceae family. When touched, the leaves of this plant will close, creating a fascinating sight.
8. Welwitschia mirabilis
Welwitschia mirabilis is a unique and rare plant species native to the Namib Desert in Namibι̇a. This plant has only two leaves, but they can grow to be several meters long.
9. Rhododendron arboreum
Rhododendron arboreum is a beautiful tree species belonging to the Ericaceae family. It is often found in the Himalayan region and is known for its large, bright red flowers.
10. Rafflesia arnoldii
Rafflesia arnoldii is a unique plant species native to the rainforests of Sumatra and Borneo. It is the largest flower in the world, with a diameter of up to one meter and a weight of up to 11 kilograms.
