Considered one of the most colorful birds in the world, this vibrant tanager loves hanging out in the treetops and eating various fruits and insects.
Sporting what looks like a red scarf around its neck, this dandy is also decked out with bright green underparts, yellowish-orange wings (with contrasting black feathers), and a brilliant blue/violet crown and throat.
Both male and female look similar although the male is much flashier.
These pretty tanagers are monogamous and lay between 2 and 4 eggs at a ᴛι̇ɱe.
