Melek Tastekin is a young artist from Turkey. Her vibrant tattoos have captivated fans and experts from numerous countries. For instance, she claimed third place in the “Best Color” category at the major international Tattoo-Convention in Berlin during the summer.
Tattoo artist Melek was born in the city of Trabzon, in the northeastern part of Turkey in 1991. She graduated from the Faculty of Art and Design at Gazi University, where she spent a significant amount of her educational journey intensely engrossed in painting, sculpture, and ceramics.
She demonstrated an early interest in the art form of tattooing and made her first forays into the industry, purchasing her first machine in 2014. From then on, she has been continually honing her technique with professional tattoo artists and studios. The tattoos produced by Melek, as showcased here, attest to the fact that her hard work has truly paid off.
By 2015, Melek had progressed to the point where she decided to open her own studio in Ankara. She is particularly enamored with the bright colors of realism and surrealism, and her expressive motif compositions are a real eye-catcher.
