The red-bearded bee-eater, scientifically known as Nyctyornis amictus, shares ɱaпy physical characteristics with other members of the bee-eater family. They’re attractive birds with vibrant colors, elongated tails, sharp wings, and curved beaks. Despite being bigger than most bee-eaters, their green plumage is highlighted by reddish faces and a distinctive red beard that extends down to their throat. In addition, they have striking orange eyes.
