With fluffy and dense white feathers flecked with black, snowy owls are incredibly gorgeous. These large birds may be found across the Arctic and portions of Canada. You could also come across them on social media.

A rare snowy owl was recently observed west of Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It created quite a stir!

A dozen bird lovers and photographers from all over the world were drawn to the scene. They came to watch the magnificent bird.

A snowy owl has been seen in Seattle, Montreal, and Ocracoke, among other places.

Snowy owls are massive birds. They are one of North America’s heaviest owl species. The rationale is simple to understand. To withstand the frigid Arctic temperature, they require a heavy clothing.

With a wingspan of 4-5 feet, this species possesses robust wings. This allows them to stealthily approach or pursue prey.

The hooked beak of these owls is useful for grabbing prey and shredding flesh. The hairs on the beak, for example, assist them in detecting close items.

These large white birds’ feet are also worth noticing. They are coated with feathers, which allows them to survive in the freezing conditions of the Arctic.

Snowy owls’ feathers get whiter as they grow older. This is most commonly found in men.

Male birds have a paler coloration than females. They may turn entirely white, but not the female.
