The flower has the English name Arum, belongs to the Ráy family (Araceae), originated from South Africa, then was introduced to countries including Vietnam and became the favorite flower today.

Features of safflower flowers

This is a herbaceous, rhizometic perennial plant, growing next to swamps and ponds, with an average height of about 1 – 1.3m, often growing into bushes in sunny places.

The leaves are round or heart-shaped, 6 – 12 cm long on petioles 10 – 20 cm long, the plate is 4 – 12 cm wide. The flowers are common pure white or some colors such as red, pink, yellow, purple, orange and range in length from 10 – 15cm.

It is a light-loving plant, usually blooming in May – 5 when the temperature rises. It is suitable for loose, loamy soil, moderate moisture, quick drainage but good moisture retention.
