The cries of desperation echoed through the air, as they were shared by dogfull.
The inhabitants of the bustling streets of Cairo, Egypt, gazed skyward upon hearing heartrending screams. To their amazement, a Gerɱaп Shepherd dangled precariously from a third-floor balcony. The fact that the distressed dog was able to summon the strength to cry out for help was nothing short of astounding.
The courageous dog Bella found herself suspended by her neck, with her life in the balance. A chain constrained her tightly, preventing her from falling to the ground. Nevertheless, given Bella’s size, this chain could have easily caused her demise.
Some hypothesized that Bella endured this horrifying ordeal for up to five agonizing hours, but the exact duration of her suffering remained unknown. Eventually, a benevolent individual was able to enter the apartment and rescue Bella from her perilous situation.
The shocking truth was quickly revealed. Bella was emaciated, a mere shadow of her former self, and confined to a cramped, filthy balcony. Such a miserable existence was unworthy of a dog. Recognizing the urgency of the situation, the Egyptian Society for the Protection of Animals (ESMA) intervened immediately and rescued Bella from her abhorrent surroundings.
Never again would Bella be forced to endure the misery of living among filth. Through the combined efforts of Special Needs Rescue and Rehabilitation, Bella was able to find refuge in a foster home in the United States.
Bella, who now resides in the vibrant state of Texas, delights in her newfound independence. She frolics in a spacious yard alongside another dog companion. No longer subjected to the harsh realities of her past, Bella lives as royalty, reclining upon her very own plush couch.

Do these dogs display signs of malnutrition? Are their caretakers concerned for their safety during inclement weather? Mistreated dogs have a desperate need for our assistance. Allowing dogs or other sentient beings to suffer in silence is unacceptable.
