When the dog was shot and lost both of its right limbs, I couldn’t help but break down and cry

Fifty the Pit Bull was born into a life of rescue. His mother was pregnant when she was rescued by a kind family. The family eventually ended up adopting Fifty from amongst his littermates.

When the unthinkable happened, the playful dog was living the good life with his huɱaпs and another doggie sister, Izzy.

When a patrolling officer saw Fifty, he became alarmed and shot him in both of his right limbs. This was a classic case of Pit Bull discrimination, as Fifty was nothing but a gentle and kind dog.

However, this tragic incident changed his life forever, and the poor dog had both of his right legs amputated as a result of gunshot wounds.

Fifty was just learning to balance on his two remaining legs when his life was turned upside down once more.

This ᴛι̇ɱe, his owners were forced to surrender Fifty and Izzy to the shelter after losing their home due to the recession. Fifty was back to square one after losing the only constant in his life.

Fifty discovered his true spark during this dark, uncertain period in his life. He refused to be a vicᴛι̇ɱ of his circumstances and resolved to work toward getting back on his feet.

He would initially stand with the help of walls, only to falter ᴛι̇ɱe after ᴛι̇ɱe. But, with unwavering dedication and perseverance, he was soon able to walk and run normally again!

Fifty finally found his cherished forever home after 9 months of rebuilding himself at the shelter.

He fell in love with his new huɱaпs and siblings immediately and vowed to be a good boy to them every day.

He settled into his new life, which included ɱaпy adventurous trips and snuggly sessions.

As Fifty’s new parents frequently foster dogs in need, the big boy has enthusiastically embraced the opportunity to be the best foster brother to other unfortunate animals like himself.

Fifty is a magnificent survivor who stands tall despite his handicap and the numerous curveballs life has thrown at him.Let us celebrate this underdog’s story and show that Pit Bulls are much more than a “hated breed.”
