MEET THE LOVELY COTIGNA
The lovely cotinga (Cotinga amabilis), is a species of bird in the Cotingidae family. 7.5 inches in length adult males are a brilliant blue color with a chin, throat, upper chest area that is a deep plum purple color. They have a small, rounded head, plump body, and short tail. Wings and tail feathers are black with greenish-blue margins.
Duller than the males, the females are more or less mainly brown.
